Laser Spirit

Spirit is a 3D laser light and musical tribute to all our heros in uniform: soldiers, firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel and other first responders who do so much for us. This patriotic laser show features music from orchestral to country and some good old rock & roll—and is great for the whole family! Artists include Academy Award winning soundtrack composer John Williams, U2, Madonna, Icicle Works and more. The program concludes with a medley featuring Aaron Copland and Lee Greenwood.

Molecularium - Riding Snowflakes

Molecularium™- Riding Snowflakes is a magical, musical adventure into the world of ATOMS and MOLECULES! Bugs! A Rainforest Adventure

Highlighting the extraordinary world of insects, BUGS! - A Rainforest Adventure focuses on the life cycles of a praying mantis and a butterfly from their birth to their inevitable encounter in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia where predator meets its prey.

More than forty tropical insects are featured in A Rainforest Adventure - BUGS!   The audience will view the birth of hundreds of praying mantis, captured in minute detail in Large Format; see a caterpillar hatch from a single tiny egg to metamorphose into a butterfly, and watch as a praying mantis snaps up a fly for its dinner—another giant screen first.   A variety of other tropical animals which make their way across the gigantic screen, some magnified 250,000 times their normal size, includes tarantulas, scorpions, vipers, and Jungle Nymphs as well as a million bats as they flit through the jungle in search of insects which they consume nightly by the ton.  It's survival of the fittest!

Kaluoka'hina, undiscovered by mankind ...hidden in the vast oceans of our planet, there where the depths of the seas guard their fascinating secrets: One of the most precious is "Kaluoka'hina", a tropical coral reef - an enchantment lies over this peaceful place: mankind cannot find it. The reef's colorful inhabitants have thus always lived in paradisiacal peace, until a volcanic catastrophe breaks the spell...

This animated presentation is followed by a live tour of the night sky that will help you find Orion and his companions.

One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure

This planetarium show follows Sesame Street's Big Bird and Elmo as they explore the night sky with Hu Hu Zhu, a Muppet from Zhima Jie, the Chinese co-production of Sesame Street. Together, they take an imaginary trip from Sesame Street to the moon, where they discover how different it is from Earth.

"One World, One Sky" is a brilliant spectacle of light and color as the furry friends watch the stars twinkle over Sesame Street. Children attending the show can interact as they watch, drawing constellations and counting the time it takes the sun to set. The show aims to nurture a child's natural sense of wonder about the night sky.

Secret of the Cardboard Rocket

Climb aboard a magical cardboard rocket with two young adventurers and experience a breathtaking, up-close look at each of our solar system's planets with guidance from a wise Astronomy Book. Great for young children ages 5-10 and their families!

With "Book," as their guide, the travelers seek to visit the Sun, the eight planets and Pluto. They land on Venus, Mars and Pluto, fly through the Great Red Spot on Jupiter and view the other planets and the Sun from close vantage points. As they tour the solar system, "Book" relays interesting facts about each body, making sure his students learn something while on their wild ride.

Based on the award-winning “The Zula Patrol” TV series www.zula.com airing on PBS affiliates nationwide, on NBC Saturday morning and on qubo, the multiplatform children’s programming outlet from Scholastic, ION Media Networks and NBC Universal, The Zula Patrol: Under the Weather is a must-see for audiences of all ages. Written by Zula's Emmy-award winning staff and animated by Spitz, Inc, Under the Weather is now in distribution to more than 40 digital dome theaters worldwide since its launch at Chicago’s Adler Planetarium. Like the TV series, the dome show supports many national and state science education standards.

The story: the stalwart heroes of the Zula Patrol are on an expedition collecting samples of weather for scientist Multo's research -- using their loyal pet Gorga's ability to collect and bottle all kinds of weather. But when the Zula gang inadvertently hurts Gorga's feelings, he decides to leave Zula and find another planet to live on. Interplanetary villain Dark Truder then tricks Gorga into stealing the weather from other planets - part of his latest nefarious scheme to rule the Universe. The ZPers find out and go after him - in the process learning all about weather, both terrestrial and interplanetary.

IBEX: Search for the Edge of the Solar System

Join scientists who are investigating the boundary between our Solar System and the rest of our galaxy in IBEX: Search for the Edge of the Solar System.

Designed for visitors with an appreciation for the challenges of space science and a desire to learn more about science research, IBEX: Search for the Edge of the Solar System follows the creation of NASA's Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX). Audiences will get an in-depth look at the mission and how IBEX is collecting high-speed atoms to create a map of our Solar System's boundary.

Narrated by two inquisitive teenagers, audiences will hear from the scientists and engineers that developed the IBEX mission and created the spacecraft, and get the latest updates on the mission's discoveries.

Tales of the Maya Skies

"Tales of the Maya Skies" brings us back to the ancient jungles of Mexico, where the Maya built cities and temples aligned to movements of the Sun, Moon and planets. Over many years they observed and documented astronomical events with great accuracy. The Maya made sense of an ever-changing world by observing, recording and predicting natural events such as solstices, solar eclipses, weather patterns and planetary movements. These observations, in combination with a sophisticated mathematical system, allowed them to develop a precise calendar system; their measurements of the length of the solar year were more accurate than measurements the Europeans used as the basis of the Gregorian calendar.
